North & Islands Hub Section 11 Project

During 2019, seven housing associations and four landlords delivered a project to discover whether enhanced practices around the serving of section 11 notices could prevent more homelessness.

 

On the back of this work a report has been produced with an accompanying webinar, both are available below.

Online seminar - Preventing Homelessness, Averting Evictions - Enhanced Section 11 Practices

 

During this seminar, we heard from Lorraine Graham of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and Brian Pearson of Lochaber Housing Association, both of whom were participants in the project working with their respective partner organisations. We also heard from SFHA Policy Lead, Jeremy Hewer and North and Islands Lead Officer and Aberdeenshire Council Housing Manager with responsibility for Housing Options and Homelessness, Allan Jones.
