  • identify and share good practice through robust cost and performance benchmarking;
  • facilitate and support co-operation between members to enable good practice exchange;
  • directly support members to improve services through peer review and self assessment.


We work closely with a range of national organisations to support the housing sector and you will form productive relationships with key people.

Post: Chief Executive Officer 

Location: 19 Haymarket Yards, Edinburgh, EH12 5BH 

Hours: 35 hours per week, can be worked flexibly 

Salary:£61,464, to £65,450 

Contract: Permanent 


Scotland’s Housing Network is the largest housing benchmarking network and practice exchange organisation in Scotland. We have almost 130 Local Authority and Registered Social Landlords as members and have experienced significant growth in recent years. Our purpose is drive up the standards of housing services across Scotland by identifying and sharing good practice. We are a registered charity in Scotland. 

Building on the success of our departing CEO we are seeking to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated person to support the Board to fulfil its strategic objectives. The new Chief Executive will be a personable team player who can build strong relationship with our members and the sector. Knowledge of the Scottish social housing sector would be highly advantageous. 

As CEO you will lead the highly effective team delivering a full range of quality services to meet the needs of our growing membership. You should be an experienced communicator with excellent networking, influencing and negotiating skills. The post is based centrally in Edinburgh but there is scope for agile working and travel throughout Scotland.
