Report from Place, Home & Housing  OT Integration event January 2017

This report provides an overview of the outcomes from an event held in January 2017 with 7 Partnerships who have all been involved, at different stages of development, in reviewing OT services. The report highlights key themes and learning from their work to date.

Digital Story

Mrs R’s story describes the effectiveness of a service intervention, where one occupational therapist is able to provide an integrated role, avoiding duplication in the service pathways, and delivering effective, enabling, person-centred outcomes. This video illustrates themes and priorities common to wider Improvement Hub (iHub) programmes, specifically, Place, Home, &Housing, and Living Well in Communities. This was based on a case-study from East Ayrshire ‘OT job swop’ and further information on this and other case studies is available in the Eat Ayrshire section.

Health & Social Care Integration – The Occupational Therapy Contribution

This event follows on from a session in January 2017, which brought together representatives from 7 Partnerships in Scotland where work had been already been initiated, to review and integrate Occupational Therapy services. This National event  provided an opportunity to update progress on all relevant work to date, and to share learning, practice and experience more widely across Scotland.
